Tips & things good to know
- The price difference between sleeping car and couchette is usually small, so we recommend booking the more comfortable sleeping car!
- Trenitalia night trains have no dining car. You can purchase snacks and beverages from the crew. A light breakfast is included in some compartment categories.
- Trenitalia updates its timetable twice a year: by the end of March it publishes the connections from June to December, and by the end of September it publishes the connections from January to May. Trenitalia does not publish all connections at once, but in stages.
That's why you may not yet be able to find your desired night train for the summer holidays, for example, if you search in March. Come back regularly and check whether your connection is bookable. - A must-do-experience: The night train from Milan to Sicily crosses all of Italy—and the best part? Both you and the train board a ferry to Sicily, which is a unique experience in Europe
