FAQ Night Train: What do I do if I lose or forget my ticket?
What should you do if you lose or forget your night train ticket? Find out how to proceed so you can still go on your night train journey.
We recommend you carry your ticket in digital form or at least a digital copy/confirmation on your smartphone. Make sure your smartphone has enough battery.
If you cannot access your digital ticket or have lost a paper ticket and do not have a digital copy/confirmation: Contact the customer service of the provider where you bought your ticket. It's best to call them. If you are already on the platform or on the train, do not wait for the ticket inspection but actively approach the train crew.
You must prove that you bought the ticket. You can do this with a booking number, a confirmation email, or, in some cases, an identity card.
If you cannot provide proof of your booking, you may have to buy a new ticket. Keep all receipts, as you may be able to request a refund later. Please also contact the ticket vendor's customer service.
