FAQ Night Train: Accessibility
Many night trains have accessible compartments and toilets.

Many railway operators are taking measures to ensure barrier-free night train journeys.

Depending on the route and in limited numbers, there are accessible toilets and compartments. On nightride.com, you find the barrier-free compartments in the search results labelled ‘Priority space for people with disabilities’.

Railway operators also often offer services to assist people with reduced mobility. This is particularly necessary when boarding and alighting, as older night trains in particular do not have low-floor access.

Depending on the provider, accompanying persons receive a discount, and you can bring your assistance animal.

Please note: With almost all providers, you must book your journey via the hotline or on a separate form and request any assistance services. You also need to notify them as far in advance as possible.
