Travel report from the night train from Zurich to Budapest

First things first: I have rarely slept so well!

Note: This blog entry was reposted from night-ride.ch, the predecessor website of nightride.com.

This was probably mainly due to the cushion, which is big and cosy. Dear ÖBB, please learn something from this for your Nightjets!

The compartment looks surprisingly spacious: the large mirrors on one wall contribute to this, and there is also a small fold-out washbasin.

This makes travelling on the Euronight 40467 from Zurich to Budapest a pleasant experience. The train goes over (or rather through) the Arlberg to Innsbruck, Salzburg and then Vienna - before continuing its ride to Hungary.

The compartment is also well equipped in other areas: plenty of power sockets and, as already mentioned, cosy and spacious beds.

The breakfast is also pretty good, and (sorry, dear ÖBB) the mini baguettes are somehow crispier than the usual Semmeln on the Nightjet. All in all, it's worth recommending - and Budapest is worth a visit anyway.
